Where We Are Now

We landed this afternoon at Ely KOA Journey, pretty much right in the middle of Nevada, elevation, 6500 ft. This is just a stop-over for a night, but it really is a nice campground. We plan to drive around this after and check out the town.

Where to Next

From here we're heading north to Idaho. Our first stop is a place called Anderson Camp. We plan to spend a couple of days there so we can check out Shoshone Falls and what's left of Twin Falls

Camper Cove RV Park & Campground, Cloverdale, OR

Our Visit

Camper cove RV Park was our first campground in our RV life.  The campground has everything from tent camping sites to sites with full hook-ups for larger units, and even a few small heated cabins for the less prepared camper.

You'll find public restrooms, showers, and a laundromat.  The campground is located between Tillamook and Lincoln City.  It is in a wooded setting sided by a river and a good size creek.  A feature that I appreciate is the campground feel.  It isn't a parking lot with hook-ups, it's a campground with wooded sites.  Every site is different and has its own personality.  Jackie & I lived there for a year, from Labor Day to Labor Day.  During that time we were still working, I was building a medical office building in Tillamook.  Unfortunately, most of our photos from here were on a computer that was stolen.  I suppose that someday we'll have to return and take more photos.

Become One with the Great Outdoors

Leave the stresses of the modern-day life behind when you set up camp at one of the most tranquil campgrounds near Cloverdale, Oregon.  Camper Cove RV Park & Campground retains the rustic qualities of camping while providing conveniences that make your stay more enjoyable.

Layout, Amenities, & Availability

Tent campers and the RV camper will enjoy the uncrowded campground atmosphere, the sound of Beaver Creek as it flows by, the glow of an open campfire at night and the scented breeze of the surrounding forest.

Tent sites vary in size with some being along the creek, all are "walk-In" sites with water service nearby.

RV sites range from 20 feet to 45 feet in total length and 15 feet in width. Eleven of the RV sites are full hook up and 14 have water and electric only; electric service is 30 Amp.

A Camping Cabin is also available for rent; it comes with beds and mattresses. Please bring your own bedding and other gear as if you were camping. The cabin has electricity but is without plumbing. Therefore, bathroom facilities are located close by. View our gallery to see our cabin. Cooking facilities are available within our meeting hall.

Going beyond the Basics

Most sites come with fire rings and picnic tables. For campers who require a bit more, we offer full hook-up facilities, laundry rooms, and bathroom facilities with showers on site.

Quiet Hours

Quiet times in the park are between 10:00 p.m. - 8:00 a.m. Quiet conversation around the campfire is welcome as long as you are not disturbing other guests. Early risers are asked to be considerate of the other guests who are still sleeping and keep your activities to a minimum.

Trash Disposal

Please use the trash cans and dumpsters provided throughout the campground. Do not keep trash of any kind on your site overnight. We have an abundance of wildlife in our area that could not only make a mess but harm themselves or others by getting into your trash. Do not throw trash of any kind or pour liquid in the creek.

No Generators

Generators are not to be used in the RV park and campground area. In an emergency of an extended power outage, Park Staff may approve use for RVs or RV Park Facilities.

Children Policy

Please supervise your children. With both the highway and creek flowing through the campground, safety is very important to us. Do not allow your children to cross the highway without an adult. Also, always have an adult with your children when they are playing in or near the creek.

We work very hard to keep our landscaping beautiful for our guests. Therefore, we ask they do not climb the trees or play in the flower gardens and bushes.

Fire Pits

During extreme dry conditions, open fires may not be allowed. Please confirm with the office before having open fires at your site during dry conditions.

Only wood and paper should be burned in the fire pits. We have wood available for sale at the office. Do not cut or break branches from trees or bushes in the Park. Small hatchets to chop kindling are welcome, but large axes or chain saws are not allowed due to safety concerns. Do not move fire pits.

Picnic Tables

Please leave the tables in the same location and condition as you find them. If you find one damaged upon your arrival please notify Park Staff immediately so that it can be repaired or replaced as needed.

Restroom & Shower Policy

Chemical toilets are provided throughout the RV Park and Campground and flush toilets are alongside the laundry room on the Cove side of the highway. Please keep all of the restrooms clean and free of trash. All used toilet paper is to be disposed of in the toilet and feminine products should be wrapped and put in a proper trash can.

Showers are provided by the laundry room. Please be courteous of others and limit yourself to 10 minutes so that the hot water can be shared with all guests. Quarters for the showers are available to be purchased at the Park Office. The Office is open from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Please plan accordingly.

Pet Policy

Guests bringing pets with them will be asked to sign a Pet Policy when registering. Please remember those policies are for the comfort and safety of all guests and your pet. Pets are limited to two per site. Pets are to be kept on a 6' leashed at all times and cannot be left unattended. Owners who do not pick up after their pets will be charged a $50.00 fee. No pens or fences are allowed in the grass. Pets not permitted in the office, laundry room, restrooms, showers or another camper's area. All pets need to have current vaccinations.

Your pet is expected to be well behaved. Examples of unacceptable behavior include:

Barking • Howling • Growling • Other Aggressive Acts

Any pet showing aggressive behavior must leave the park.
