Where We Are Now

We landed this afternoon at Ely KOA Journey, pretty much right in the middle of Nevada, elevation, 6500 ft. This is just a stop-over for a night, but it really is a nice campground. We plan to drive around this after and check out the town.

From here we're heading north to Idaho. Our first stop is a place called Anderson Camp. We plan to spend a couple of days there so we can check out Shoshone Falls and what's left of Twin Falls

      We arrived at Lake of the Springs with the intention of not dropping our dinghy, as we were planning on just staying the night. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find a suitable pull-through site, so we unhooked and found a nice back-in site. Lake of the Springs is a campground, vs. an RV park/parking lot.

Lake of the Springs on the Map burned     It is really set up great for the family weekend camping trip. On weekends the dining hall is open and there are plenty of activities to keep the family entertain. You can rent boats, swim in the lake, swim in the pool, play miniature golf, shuffleboard, tennis, basketball, horseshoes, volleyball and more. The feel here is like camp, with activities for everyone. And of course, no phone or the Internet to distract you from the fun. If a camping experience is what you’re looking for this is the place, except that you can’t have wood campfires.

Lake of the Springs RV Camping Resort is a 950-acre campground nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains on the fringe of the Sacramento Valley. This expansive RV campground in California boasts a private, 120-acre lake with great fishing, swimming, and boating. If you don't have a boat, you can rent one of our patio boats and take the entire family out for a day of sunshine. Sit back, relax and simply enjoy all the wildlife including deer and wild turkeys that roam the preserve.

  • Rental Check-In Time: 4 p.m.
  • Rental Check-Out Time: 11 a.m.
  • Upon check-in, you may be asked to provide a valid ID and a certificate of insurance and registration for your unit. Members should also have their membership card on hand.
  • A completed Reservations for Minors form is required for all unaccompanied minors. To download the form, copy and paste this link into your browser: http://www.rvonthego.com/images/PDF/Reservations-For-Minors061917.pdf.
  • Pets are allowed.
  • The rates displayed do not include any applicable service fees or charges for optional incidentals.
  • For late arrival arrangements, please contact our Reservation Department at (877) 864-2728.

Helpful Information:

  • Please have your driver’s license, vehicle registration, and insurance available at the time of check-in.
  • RV sites are first-come, first-served. 

Reservation & Payment Policies:

  • Your credit card will be charged one-night rack rate prior to arrival.
  • To make changes to your reservation, please call our Reservation Department at (877) 864-2728 and specify that you booked your reservation online.
  • If an RV/Tent site reservation is canceled at least 2 days prior to arrival, an administrative fee of $25 will be charged prior to refunding any advance deposit. Otherwise, the one night deposit will be forfeited.
  • If a rental reservation is cancelled at least 7 days prior to arrival, an administrative fee of $25 will be charged prior to refunding any advance deposit.
  • Rental reservations that are cancelled within 7 days of arrival are not eligible to receive a refund.
  • In the case of multiple sites booked, cancellation penalties apply to each site that is cancelled or changed.
  • Prices and site type are subject to availability.
  • No refunds will be issued for early checkout.
  • If I used a credit card for a deposit, guarantee or payment, I authorize MHC Property Management L.P. to charge any expenses incurred during my stay to that credit card or apply funds you have on deposit with us against what I owe.

  • Check-in time for rentals is 4 p.m. Check out is at 11 a.m. Linens are included with some rentals; but, not all. Rentals that include linens are noted below. We do not allow pets in some accommodation types; however, we do allow service animals and a service animal may have stayed in a non-pet rental.

    Cottage - Wheelchair Friendly (Sleeps 4)

    This wheelchair-friendly cottage is great for a small family. The bedroom houses a queen-size island bed. In the living area is a full-size sofa sleeper and HD satellite TV. The full bath has a toilet, sink, and an ADA shower. The convenient kitchenette contains a 2 burner hot plate and all the other basic necessities for a weekend getaway. Outside is a propane BBQ grill. Linens are included.

The kitchen includes pots & pans, dishes, utensils, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, stovetop, refrigerator, dish soap, and paper products. Rental does not have ovens. Outside is a propane BBQ grill. Linens are NOT included; however, pillows are.

    No pets, please.

    TT Cabin (Sleeps 5/Pet Friendly)

    *Check-in time is 4 pm Check-out time is 11 am*

    This cabin sleeps 5 and includes a pyramid-style bunk bed (double on bottom, single on top). In the living area is a full-size futon. Each rental includes a TV with Dish Network, heating, air conditioning, and a ceiling fan. The kitchen includes pots & pans, dishes, utensils, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, stovetop, refrigerator, dish soap, and paper products. Rental does not have ovens. Outside is a propane BBQ grill. Linens are NOT included; however, pillows are.

    Pets are welcome for an additional fee.

    TT Cabin - 1 Bedroom (Sleeps 5/No Pets)

    *Check-in time is 4 pm Check-out time is 11 am*

    This cabin sleeps 5 and includes a private bedroom with a pyramid-style bunk bed (double on bottom, single on top). In the living area is a full-size futon. Each rental includes a TV with Dish Network, heating, air conditioning, and a ceiling fan. The kitchen includes pots, pans, dishes, utensils, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, stovetop only no oven, refrigerator, dish soap, and paper products. Linens are NOT included; however, pillows are. Outside is a picnic table and propane BBQ grill. Guest may set up a tent outside a cabin, cottage, or yurt rental as long as the number of persons does not exceed the max number of persons allowed in the rental.

    No pets, please.

    TT Cabin - 1 Bedroom (Sleeps 5/Pet Friendly)

    This cabin sleeps 5 and includes a private bedroom with a pyramid-style bunk bed (double on bottom, single on top) In the living area is a full-size futon. The kitchenette is fully furnished with a full-size refrigerator with top freezer, microwave, and stovetop (no oven). Outside a picnic table and propane BBQ grill extends the living to the outdoors. Linens are included.

    TT Cottage - with oven (Sleeps 6/No Pets)

    This premier cottage sleeps 6 and is great for larger families. It includes a separate bedroom with a queen bed, a cozy sleeping nook with a bunk bed, and a full-size sleeper sofa. Along with the sleeper sofa, in the living area is a dinette table, chairs, and a TV with Dish Network. In the bath is a shower/bath combo. The kitchenette is fully furnished with a full size refrigerator with top freezer, microwave, and 4 burner stove top with a full size oven. Outside a picnic table and propane BBQ grill. Linens are included.

    Yurt (Sleeps 6/No Pets)

    These yurts sleep 6 and include two bunk bed futon couchs (top sleeps one - bottom sleeps two). Each rental has a TV with Dish Network, heating, swamp cooler & ceiling fan. Kitchens include pots, pans, dishes, utensils, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, stove top, refrigerator, dish soap, & paper products. Please note these rentals do not have ovens. Outside is a charcoal BBQ grill. Linens are NOT included; however, pillows are.

    No pets, please.

    Yurt (Sleeps 6/Pet Friendly)

    The yurts include two bunk bed futons (top sleeps one - bottom sleeps two ). Each rental has a TV with Dish Network, heating, swamp cooler, and ceiling fan.
